Wildlife has always been at the heart of every journey we’ve taken. Today, we’re helping more people experience the world’s wild places in a way that supports conservation, local communities and responsible tourism.
How it all started
It started with a love of wildlife
Long before Mr & Mrs D Adventures existed and before we helped others plan their adventures, we were simply a husband and wife from the UK who loved exploring the natural world, with wildlife at the heart of every trip we planned.
For over a decade, our travels have taken us to some of the world’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations.
Whether it was searching for grizzly bears in Canada, spotting humpback whales off the coast of Mexico, trekking through the heart of Borneo’s rainforest in search of orangutans or road-tripping along Australia’s Great Ocean Road searching for kangaroos, wildlife was always the reason we travelled.
Then one trip changed everything.
We’d travelled to see wildlife before, but nothing prepared us for experiencing an African safari. Watching animals roam freely across vast, wild landscapes was unlike anything we’d experienced before. It wasn’t just the wildlife that left a lasting impression. It was the people dedicated to protecting these places, the stories behind conservation, and the realisation that responsible tourism can help protect both wildlife and local communities.
Those moments sparked a curiosity about the places we were visiting, the people who called them home and the importance of protecting them for future generations.
As we travelled more, we realised that the choices we make as travellers can have a lasting impact.
Tourism has the power to support conservation, create jobs and protect wild places, but only when it’s done responsibly.
That belief became the foundation of Mr & Mrs D Adventures and everything we do today.
What We Believe
Every decision we make, every recommendation we give and every destination we share is guided by a few simple principles.
Protecting wildlife comes first
We believe wildlife should always be experienced on its own terms. We don’t support attractions that involve handling, feeding or exploiting wild animals for entertainment.
Local people should benefit
We believe tourism should support the people who call these places home. That’s why we choose to work with locally owned businesses wherever we can.
